The ‘Green’ Badge, awarded for environmental achievement, was presented to His Majesty during a visit to The King’s Foundation.
This April, King Charles III visited the Pierburg Education Centre and Kauffman Education Garden as part of The King’s Foundation’s 35th anniversary celebrations. The visit highlighted the Foundation’s ongoing work to connect young people with hands-on skills in food production, teamwork, and reducing food waste.
Among the highlights of the visit was the presentation of a Green Blue Peter Badge to His Majesty, alongside another Green Badge being sealed in a time capsule to mark the Foundation’s milestone anniversary.
The Green Blue Peter Badge is one of the most meaningful in the Badge family. Where the standard Blue Peter Badge recognises an appearance on the programme, the Green Badge is reserved for those who have made a genuine contribution to the environment. It is not given lightly, which makes its presentation to the King, in recognition of decades of environmental advocacy, particularly fitting.
Blue Peter badges are exclusively manufactured by CHX Products at our solar-powered facility in Cornwall. Each badge is made from recycled plastic, as part of our commitment to producing branded merchandise that does not compromise on sustainability.
It is a detail that feels particularly relevant here. The Green Badge exists to recognise environmental action. That the badge itself is produced using renewable energy, from recycled materials, in a UK manufacturing facility, adds a layer of meaning that we are quietly proud of.
CHX Products specialises in make-to-order recycled and recyclable plastic merchandise, supplying branded goods to businesses across the UK through a network of promotional merchandise distributors. Our full product range is manufactured in Bodmin, powered by solar energy, and built to last.
